Each time we travel to Europe we visit my friend, Isabel. She loves to show us new parts of Spain that we have not seen and this was such a rare place to see. Bolonia, Spain is a tiny town that has some rare artifacts that date back to the Phoenicians and the Romans. The ride there from Algeciras is breathtaking and you can see the coast of Africa so clearly across the Straits of Gibraltar. Bolonia is located on the Atlantic coast of Spain. There are wild horses on the beach in this area but we did not see any on this visit.
The archaeological remains of this Roman city are in great condition and give you an idea of what that city must have looked like. It was definitely a highlight of our visit to Spain!
